Well, just another week of fun and games here!
I have always been somewhat prideful relative to my eyesight. I am over 50 and have only recently gone to a bifocal contact lens.
My eye Dr. would say, "I don't get it... you have the eyes of a 40 year old!" Of course that was a few visits back. Next visit, "Your eyes are in better shape than mine!" I would smile, he is somewhat younger than I am... Oh, I was doing 'most' all the good stuff for eyes.
Then last Thursday I noticed funny little specks. hmm.... Then I noticed some junky blackish stuff in my line of vision. So I cleaned off my sunglasses. Didn't help much. Then the junky stuff got to be more obnoxious. And I noticed it was in the left eye. hmm..... So I thought,"I can be brave and treat this or I can be wise and get an opinion." I went for wise.
Friday I called my eye Dr. I had a cordial visit with the office staff. They informed me the Dr. was on vacation for 2 weeks. He is wonderful and I knew he needed a vacation and was very happy he was taking one. But....
So I asked who was on call and explained the situation. The office made the call for me and set up my appt.
So I go to the on call eye Dr. to get the news.
Well, the analysis could be better! I had news I had to get used to. First of all.... he told me... I WAS AGING! I wasn't sure we could be friends at that point. Did he not know who he was talking to???
So after my initial denial, he educated me.
As we age, the vitreous matter in the eyeball tends to become more liquid like. It will pull away from the tissue lining the interior or the eye.
As it does so, it may pull on this tissue and cause tearing. This tearing will be the torn retina or another area of bleeding on the inside of they eye. This is dangerous and should be addressed.
He assured me I had done the right thing by coming in.
After the dilation of the pupil and a thorough examination he informed me there was no tearing and what was happening was the fluid had captured some extra cells and matter and that what was causing the strange flecks in my vision. These flecks were floaters on steroids! That was the chunky black, smeary stuff. Then it seemed I was looking at cells through a microscope, very small and doughnut shaped stuff rolling around. He told me everything would settle down within the month. WHEW!!!!! He also told me my eyes were very healthy and looked very good. Well, that is more like it!
And then the creme de la creme.... I was informed I had the beginning of a cataract. He would see me again in 5 to 10 years. WHAAATTT???
So much humility handed out in one afternoon is tough to take!
All the way home I laid out my plan of action.
The first thing I would do is any releases of negative energy that would prevent healing. I did find one.
Eye supplements are A, C and E.
I will do 1000 mg of C.
Start out with 400 IU of Vit E. You can work your way up to 800 IU and then 1000 IU if you desire. You graduate up because you don't want to raise your blood pressure. It seems the pressure will often rise for some people if there is a sudden change in the Vit E level.
I have been taking Vit. A for years. It helps with vision and immunity... as well slowing down wrinkling. I use the beta carotene version as it is water soluble and will not build up in the body. I take 50,000 units a day. You can take up 65,000 before you have to worry about overdosing.
For some time I have been recommending Dr. Christopher's Herbal Eye Bright formula and once in a while I would seriously get into a program.
Well, I am serious now!
So I use the Eye Bright tincture daily. 2 droppers full a day. Then I use it as an eye wash. There have been some pretty miraculous things happen from using this. Dr. Christopher documented patients of his who regained vision and REDUCED their cataracts. Say no more... I am all over this!
How do you do the eye wash? Well, find an elusive eye wash cup at a good herb shop or old fashioned drug store. These are not easy to find. I have had some clients who use a small plastic bottle lid and just squeeze into a shape to fit against the eye. Then use about 2 tbl. warm distilled water and drop 3-5 drops of the Herbal Eye Bright Tincture into the water. Let this sit for 5-10 minutes to dissipate the alcohol. Pour some of the water into the eye cup for the wash. Lean head forward and place cup up to eye. Hold head slightly back and blink several times. put head down, for a break and then repeat 2 more times. Clean cup repeat for other eye using the water left. Yes.. there is cayenne in this and it does sting a little bit. I have had far worse with soap in my eyes. You will eventually not notice any stinging, but you can start out slowly with only 3 drops and build up.
I have also had clients who will place a drop on the eye lid and not use the eye wash. I really do like the eye wash myself. But you will get results either way.
I also got serious about my minerals. I go for 6 days of mineral/vit supplements taking Sunday off. Check the Tangy Tangerine.
I just added the ASEA to my regime by spraying my face.
And now the game begins... You can treat symptoms all you want and get some quick results. Healing on the other hand is slower.
Have a great week!
And don't take that vision for granted! It is a great blessing.
Choose good health!
